Zach Cooper is a New York Cinematographer and visual storyteller driven by a lifelong passion for building worlds—whether through childhood LEGO creations or powerful images on screen. Raised in a creatively rich environment, Zach’s artistic roots trace back to a family of painters, film lovers, and home videographers. That early influence eventually sparked a deeper exploration of film, ignited during a college color theory class where he discovered how light, color, and shape could evoke emotion and narrative meaning.
Zach is largely self-taught behind the camera and has since built a diverse body of work across commercial, narrative, and fashion projects. His collaborators include iconic brands such as Netflix, Heinz, Levi’s, Vogue, Tommy Hilfiger, Peloton, Kiehl’s, and Coach.
His narrative work has been officially selected and screened at respected festivals including Palm Springs International ShortFest, HollyShorts, The Athena Film Festival, and the New York International Film Festival, and has been featured on curated platforms like Film Shortage and BOOOOOOOM.
When not behind the lens, Zach’s happy place includes strong coffee and a long walk in the park.
